1. Definitions

Holiday Home

A holiday home is a property that is not used for permanent residence and is rented out by the owner(s) through Jysk feriehusudlejning ApS (hereinafter "Jyskferie").

Holiday Home Owner

The physical or legal person who owns the holiday home and who, through a brokerage agreement with Jyskferie, has given Jyskferie the right to rent out the holiday home.

Holiday Home Renter / Renter

The legal or physical person over 18 years old who rents the holiday home from the holiday home owner through Jyskferie.

Agreement Basis

The documents signed by Jyskferie and the renter (collectively referred to as the "Parties") in connection with the rental of the holiday home, as well as these rental terms.

Rental Period

The period during which the renter has access to the holiday home, as specified in the rental agreement.

Arrival Day

The first day of the rental period.

Departure Day

The last day of the rental period.

Holiday Home Information

The information listed under the specific holiday home on Jyskferie's website.

Days

Calendar days, including Sundays and public holidays.

 

2. Status of the Parties

Jyskferie provides the holiday home on behalf of the holiday home owner to a renter. Jyskferie provides the holiday home at the holiday home owner's expense and risk.

 

3. Rental Period

The rental begins on the day specified in the agreement basis. In the agreement basis, the renter can find information about the holiday home's details, key collection, and when on the arrival day the renter can expect the holiday home to be available.

The rental must be vacated no later than 10:00 AM on the departure day.

 

4. The Holiday Home

Use of the Holiday Home

The holiday home may be used for holiday purposes during the rental period. If Jyskferie suspects that the holiday home is not being used for holiday purposes, Jyskferie is entitled to gain access to the holiday home.

If the suspicion is confirmed, this is considered a breach of the agreement basis. See section 15.

Guests

The renter is entitled to invite guests to the holiday home. However, the holiday home must not be occupied by more people than stated in the holiday home information. If the holiday home is occupied by more than the allowed number of people, this is considered a breach of the agreement basis. See section 15.

Pets

Pets are only allowed if stated in the holiday home information.

Internet

The renter can assume that there is Wi-Fi in the holiday home unless otherwise stated in the holiday home information.

Jyskferie does not guarantee the coverage or quality of the Wi-Fi installed in the holiday home.

Smoking

Smoking is only allowed if stated in the holiday home information.

Swimming Pools etc.

The renter is obligated to follow the provided safety and usage instructions for swimming pools and similar facilities in the holiday home.

Jyskferie assumes no responsibility for the function or safety of the swimming pool. The renter acknowledges and accepts that the use of swimming pools and similar facilities is at their own risk.

 

5. Prices

The stated prices are for renting a holiday home for 1 (one) week and are given in Euro (EUR) including VAT.

Taxes are included in the prices.

The rent does not include consumption unless otherwise specifically stated. This is settled separately after the rental period ends.

Booking earlier than 60 days before the rental period begins

The renter can split the payment into installments, with the first installment due at booking and the second installment due no later than 30 days before the rental period begins.

Booking later than 60 days before the rental period begins

The total rent is due at booking.

 

6. Cancellation and Change of Reservation

The renter is entitled to cancel a reservation under the following conditions

Cancellation of your rented holiday home.

Should unforeseen events occur, you always have the option to cancel your rental agreement. However, Jyskferie charges a cancellation fee, which depends on the cancellation time.

 

Cancellation of rental agreements:

Up to 70 days before arrival: Jyskferie charges 20% of the total rental amount, min. EUR 70,-

69 to 35 days before arrival: Jyskferie charges 33% of the total rental amount, min. EUR 70,-

34 to 14 days before arrival: Jyskferie charges 75% of the total rental amount, min. EUR 70,-

From 13 days before arrival: Jyskferie charges 90% of the total rental amount, min. EUR 70,-

On the day of arrival: 100% of the total amount.

Cancellation of your holiday home can be done by email to info@jyskferie.dk. Please provide the order number and reason for cancellation – see cancellation fees above.

 

Change

If the renter wishes to change a reservation, they are entitled to do so for an administration fee of 50,00 EUR.

If the change results in a shortening of the rental period by a minimum of 7 days, the renter is entitled to a refund for the changed period under the same conditions as if the renter had canceled the relevant period, see above.

If the change results in a shortening of the rental period by less than 7 days, the renter is not entitled to a refund.

 

7. Consumption

If consumption is not included in the price of the holiday home, it is paid upon key return.

At key collection, a consumption form is provided for recording consumption. On this form, the renter is required to read the meter at the end of the rental period, and Jyskferie has read it during preparation, where the heating has also been turned up slightly.

For electric cars, the renter is only allowed to charge them at the holiday home if there is an approved charger installed.

 

8. Deposit

Jyskferie does not charge the renter a deposit.

If damage is caused to the house, Jyskferie or the holiday home owner is entitled to claim compensation from the renter according to the general rules of Danish law.

9. Defects and Complaints

Jyskferie hands over the holiday home to the renter at the beginning of the rental period without defects. If there are unexpectedly defects in the holiday home or its furnishings, the renter must contact Jyskferie by phone as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after the rental period begins.

The renter is obligated to minimize the defect as much as possible during the rental period. If Jyskferie requests to remedy the defect during the rental period, the renter is obligated to allow this to happen.

If the issue is not satisfactorily resolved during the rental period, the renter must contact Jyskferie in writing no later than 14 days after the rental period ends, detailing the complaint at info@jyskferie.dk.

 

10. Damage During the Rental Period

The renter is obligated to treat the holiday home and its furnishings responsibly during the rental period. The renter is liable to the holiday home owner for damages caused by the renter, the renter's household, or the renter's guests to the holiday home or its furnishings during the rental period.

The renter is responsible for damages, and Jyskferie does not cover this. The renter must report damages to Jyskferie no later than on the departure day.

If Jyskferie discovers damages during the final cleaning or in another way that has not been reported by the renter and not reported as defects, see section 9, Jyskferie will claim compensation from the renter and simultaneously charge an administration fee of 100,00 EUR.

 

11. Insurance

The renter acknowledges and accepts that Jyskferie cannot be held liable for personal injury that may occur during the rental period.

Jyskferie has not taken out insurance covering personal or property damage for the renter.

 

12. Renter's Complaint Access

The renter can bring any dispute that may arise with Jyskferie to the above complaint board if a mutual solution cannot be found.

 

13. Final Cleaning

At the end of the rental period, even if final cleaning is ordered, the renter must leave the holiday home tidy, with the dishwasher emptied, the grill cleaned, etc.

If the renter has not done this, Jyskferie is also entitled to charge a fee of 50 EUR in this case.

 

14. Termination

If the renter breaches the agreement basis, Jyskferie is entitled to terminate the agreement with the renter, resulting in the renter immediately leaving the holiday home. The renter will not be entitled to any refund for the remaining days of the rental period.

Conversely, Jyskferie will be entitled to claim compensation from the renter according to the rules of Danish law.

 

15. Choice of Law and Jurisdiction

All disputes between Jyskferie and the renter are resolved under Danish law with submission to the court in the jurisdiction where the holiday home is located.

 

16. Jyskferie's Rights

In the following cases, Jyskferie reserves the right either to refund the paid rental amount or to find a replacement rental: Contract breach by the owner of the rented holiday home in relation to Jyskferie.

Printing errors are also reserved.

 

17. Force Majeure and Unusual Events

If the holiday home cannot be made available due to circumstances that could not reasonably be foreseen by Jyskferie at the time of this agreement (force majeure), including but not limited to war, strike, natural disasters, pandemic, epidemic, pollution, or public restrictions, Jyskferie has the right to terminate the rental agreement with immediate effect on behalf of themselves and the owner.

In case Jyskferie terminates the rental agreement due to force majeure, the renter is not entitled to compensation, and Jyskferie is entitled to have all incurred costs covered by the renter, e.g., administration fee, as well as any costs arising from the termination of the rental agreement.

No Deposit - Consumption is Paid on Departure

Your consumption must be settled at our office upon departure. You will receive a meter reading form when you collect the key, where we have noted the starting numbers.

We turn on the heating in the house as a free service, and from there you pay for the consumption unless we are otherwise informed.

With us, you do not pay a deposit.
